Introduction

About this Recipe

By: Colleen McGreal

In the morning, when I am looking for a good nutritious  breakfast, but also something that fills me up with protein, I think directly towards peanut butter toast with bananas. This meal is quick and easy and hold me over and feuls my body with energy for the day!

Toast two slices of white or wheat bread, grab some fresh peanut butter or almond butter, and pick out your favorite fruits to pair it with.

Ingredients

  • 1 piece of whole grain bread — I like the one at Aldi’s that is like Dave’s Bread only cheaper by 2 bucks!
  • 2 tbsp of peanut butter. I prefer the brands that offer organic peanut butter, ones that don’t add much to the ground peanuts.
  • 1 Banana
  • Optional- berries on the side, strawberries, blueberries.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Take your two slices of bread and put it in the toaster.

Step 2

Peal your banana, and the slice it in rounds so that you have enough slices to cover your bread.  Eat the rest!

Step 3

Once the bell dings on the toast, take your peanut butter, and spread it over the bread.

Step 4

Put the banana slices on top, and you’re done!

Optional Step 5

If you really love sweet tasting breakfasts, you can drizzle some honey on the peanut butter before you add the bananas.
